Thank You For Thinking Of Me

Good morning all!  Before I start in about today's card, I just wanted to point out that I have been adding a link to Bloglovin at the bottom of my posts recently.  Last year, Blogger discontinued their email service and stopped sending emails out for all the new blog posts.   I have just figured out how to add the link to Bloglovin which now offers this same service.  So many of you have asked me if I can have the emails sent out, but it is through services such as Bloglovin that do this.  It is very easy to do, just click the Bloglovin link at the bottom of the post ( or I have placed it permanently on the right hand side of the blog) and it will take you straight there.  All you have to do is click "follow" and fill in your email address and it will deliver the  email to you every day.    Once you receive the Bloglovin email, however, can you please click on my Particraft blog address (www.particraft.blogspot.com) shown rather than the blue feed banner so it takes you through to my actual blog.  That way  your visit will be counted towards my stats and blog ranking  please.  I would really appreciate it.  This is also the only way that you will be able to leave comment too (you need to be on my actual blog page) as you cannot do it through the Bloglovin service.
One of my many demos from the shows last weekend.  I love making flowers and it is always really cool when you can make a pretty flower and it isn't even from an actual flower die!  This one was created from the waste from one of the New York dies.  I started with a piece of pale lavender card from my stash and embossed it with the Bed Of Roses embossing folder for texture.  I wrapped a piece of white satin ribbon around the bottom of it and taped the ends to the back.  I tied a double bow from the same ribbon and added it to the centre with glue dots.  To create the flower, I cut five of the smaller die in the Herald Square.  Next I lightly inked the edges of the fallaway parts with Dusty Concord.  I poked a hole in the centre of each piece with my pokey tool and then lightly spritzed them with water so they are pliable.  I feed them onto a white brad, offsetting each of them.  Next I brought each one of them upwards around the brad and scrunched them, allowing them to sit for a few minutes until they dried.  Once dry, I coated them with Cosmic Shimmer dries clear glue and sprinkled it with Iced Snow for a bit of bling.  I seated the flower in the middle of my bow.  Next I cut four of the smaller die in the Times Square in white and glued them into a larger square configuration above my bow.  I cut the Herald Square in pale lavender and mounted it in a diamond shape over the top.  I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with the New York Collection tag.  I sponged it with Dusty Concord distress ink while it was still in the die to highlight it.  I mounted it in the centre of my focal element.  I completed the card with a paper pierced edge, then a thin lavender card mat and a final white mat layer.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x  8" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Good Morning, Sue, Pam and fellow Wilsonettes, been frosty here too. Just been outside with recycling, rubbish for collection and to feed the birds, but I didn't find it that cold here.
I saw you demonstrate this card, and clever way of creating a flower at the weekend, Sue. In the close-up photos the background looks die cut too, even though it's the Rose EB. This is another one I will have to get, in due course......

Keep safe and warm everyone. Have a good Friday. Hugs to you all, especially, all who are unwell / in pain and absent friends (((( ))))

GM Sue. I am blogloved up now! thanks. love this card, so pretty. My beads and stick pin set cam yday. ooooo, they are nice. cant wait to play. Amazed how small the spacer beads are. I've tried making these before but my daisy spacers were much bigger and now I now why they didn't look like yours! just to let you know 4 packets of the faceted teardrop beads had burst open down the left had seam - not sure if that's a packing defect or not but thought I'd mention it - not complaining though as they are lovely. Happy Friday all

What a lovely flower, Sue, now we'll need that die for the waste! Pretty card with lots going on.
Personally (as already boringly mentioned more than once) very happy with Particraft - log in anyway so don't need emails - or is there something that I'm missing?? If so, someone please say! Only have PC no grand phones or i gadgets. More money for craft!!

I was blown away when I saw you demo this flower out of the 'waste', it is such a fabulous idea. You certainly give us more usage out of our dies, I'm intrigued as to how you come up with the idea lol. I love everything about today's card it's beautiful.

Morning Sue and all Wilsonette Particraft friends. Its amazing what you do Sue, not only with your dies to build up your cards but flower's with the waste - amazing. I now have this vision of 100's of legs poking out of wheeleybin paper recycling bins as we all look for our die waste to make our flower's lol - what a shame our paper bin was emptied yesterday ! Any chance of adding a tutorial to the top of your blog drop down box with how you create all your stunning flower's both with the dies and with waste from all your other dies please as you have idea's and way's to make flower's only you ( and maybe Izzy) could ever think of : )
I just love this card today Sue, so many texture's and pattern's but not over powering at all.
Thank you for highlighting bloglovin and exactly how its used and a big THANK YOU to all Wilsonette friends that started to boost your viewing number's last week. Im sure by now you all realise how important it is for Sue to be recognised for ALL the hard work she put's into Particraft, and apart from your daily or regular support here its important that you can follow the bold instructions on Sue's comment and by doing that Sue's number's will rise and hopefully be in an excellent position to get best blog at next year's craft awards.

Today Im sending love and hugs to Murial, and hope the surgery went well and you feel upto joining us again soon, and love to Saba and hugs for sister Val.
To ALL our friends that are still struggling with bugs and virus's I hope you start to feel well soon, but dont get too close, I love ya but not ya bugs ta very much lol.
Off to the 'coffee shop' before I get carried away in my den or fall asleep later !
Love to all.

Good morning Sue and fellow Wilsonettes
from a bright and sunny Somerset today. No frost but still cold.
A beautiful ornate card, lovely colours, flower is divine, Missed that part as new HD box still having teething problems and couldn't see through the broken images.
I use a lot of my larger waste pieces, especially the swirly bits instead of or combined with leaves, rather effective methinks.
Muriel, I hope you are now on the way to recovery and taking it easy for a while ((hugs))
Pat S, Best wishes for your pre-op assessment ((hugs))
Saba & Val, keeping you both close to my heart with prayers and very very gentle ((hugs)

Morning Sue
I am turning today's sentiment straight round and sending it back to you. You NEVER stop thinking of your followers in everything you do. You pass on everything you know and learn without any hesitation and are definitely one of the selfless ladies on this planet.
Today's gift is truly beautiful. Everything about it is gentle and calming and I defy anyone not to want this to land on their door mat.

I just cannot believe that it's Friday again and we go into the third month of the year on Sunday. This year is flying by. To all the ladies going to Farnborough tomorrow have a really good day. I'm not envious really I'm not! Well perhaps just a little or maybe a lot!!

Wiltshire Girl - Of course you are a Wilsonette. Congratulations and welcome to the very best of the best blog in the world.
Myra - have a really good holiday.

I'm still waiting for my dies from the week-end to arrive. They were ordered Sat so hoped I'd have them by now.
Housework to do and then I have to make two cards for those pesky males so I really need some inspiration.

To all in pain or suffering I hope your day gets better. To everyone please take care and stay safe. We have a little sunshine at the moment but it's still very cold.
See you tomorrow.

Hi Sue,
This card and the flower are exquisite. If I remember rightly, you demo'd the flower on your shows and I was mightily impressed with it.
Beautiful beautiful card....
Saba mentioned that she loved Bloglovin so I joined to see what it is like. Don't love it particularly, my daily routine is to switch PC on, look at your blog first thing. So it doesn't give me any advantage, just a quick overview of other blogs which I don't have time to look at. Could be that I haven't sussed out how to use it properly but for me that's one activity I won't do.......
Fully understand though why you had to use Bloglovin for people to get daily emails (why would they want that, it's just one more email to be deleted!) - you blog every day anyway.
Enough of grouchiness, enjoy this lovely day - blue skies, sunshine........
Hugs, Rose

Can anyone explain? I did what Sue said and ended up back at the old comments page, sorry am I being thick? Not good at this computer lark still learning! Thanks,

Hi Sue, thank you so much for the explanation of the Bloglovin thing, I wondered what it was! I get notification from your blog via RSS feeds but I'm not sure if that extends beyond MS Outlook users.

The card today is just fab and I love the 'free' flower, must give it a try - when I manage to get the dies that is, which are on my wishlist.

Craftihappiness to all and lots of love from Macky.

Good afternoon Sue and the fabulous Wilsonettes,
This is a lovely card Sue but a bit too textured for me to see your beautiful die cuts and gorgeous flower. The flower is a cracker Sue and just finishes the card of a treat. Sorry this is going to be a short one today as i still have more shakes than Elvis at the moment and keep hitting the wrong keys so i will wish you a great weekend flower.
Jean, safe journey home flower and never mind trying to sneak the newest grandchild home with you as i think you would get caught.
Pat (Whitney) wishing you all the best dear lady for your pre op, hope that all goes well so that you are able to go in.
Mrs B, i hope that migraine has gone down if not away flower as i know just how debilitating it can be.
Wiltshire Lass, Welcome flower to the best blog on the planet. You become a Wilsonette the minute you leave a comment and join us merry band of crafters.
I am leaving my basket full of hugs of every shape, size and occassion, for all my Wilsonette Angels that could do with one and for all that are not able to come on at the moment i send my love and prayers that you will be back with us soon.
Love and crafty hugs
Norah (Glenochil)

As I said earlier on in the week busy isn't my thing but this one is beautiful as the busy is muted by the colour tones and how they have been worked together with the tone on tone actually calming it down. The flower on the other hand is fab and will be attempting this in the very near future. Thanks again for all the inspiration and your generosity in sharing.

Hi Sue,
Fabulous card today, really do like the colours you've used. Very feminine card too. My stick pin set came today from CandC and I have to say the beads are absolutely fantastic, the colours are stunning. They are so much nicer in real life than on TV!! Going to have a play tomorrow when I've found my glossy accents.
I joined Bloglovin when you first mentioned it and do get my email, but I still comment through the particraft site - I hope this is ok. I think I'm just in a routine where I go straight to it usually on a morning. I do like that I can save the cards I really like to my own feed though on Bloglovin.
Saba, hope your sister is improving, thinking of you both. Love and extra special hugs to those unwell, feeling down, in hospital etc. hope everyone else is ok and sending you all love, Alison xxx

Well I've just signed up for Bloglovin and got onto your blog in the way you suggested but when I tried to leave a comment there I just ended up with a blank page, so I've come back to the particraft page in my usual way. The counter shows the same number using both ways, give or take the 50+ people who viewed your blog while I was trying to comment!
Take care everyone.
