Thank You For All You Do

Hi bloggers!  I love this card and I am pretty sure that you had a sneak peek of it back in Nov. when we launched these dies.  I started with the Times Square and cut a large frame out of the outer die and used a reg. square die cut for the inside area.  I used the Eternal Rings Striplet cutting it several times to make a continuous background.  I used the frame to mount over it and nipped away the excess from around the edges.  I added foam mounting around the edge and mounted it in the centre of a larger piece of white card and added pearls to all the crisscross areas.  I cut two of the Phoenix Gemini die using both cutting edges and embossed them to bring out the deboss features.  I added mounting foam to the back and added them to either side of my focal element.  I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with the Copenhagen die, inking it with Aqua Adirondack ink while still in the die to bring out some detail.  I seated my sentiment on to a Scandinavian tag cut out of white card and a New York tag that I had cut down slightly.  I made a single small Camellia with the open petals and added a pearl to the centre and glued it to my tag.  I finished the card with just some plain matting and layering with white and aqua card.  The finished dimensions are 7" x  8 3/4" in size.

I'm not off to see my Mom just yet, I'm afraid you are stuck with me for a little bit longer!  This is, however,  the first non working holiday I have had in quite some time and will be completely away from my computer when I leave!  I won't be picking up any emails at all.  The blog is all scheduled so hopefully it will go off without a hitch.  I have arranged for our marketing gal, Sarah, to look in on it just to make sure.  I am hoping to be able to share some pics when I return!  All for now, Sue x

Morning Sue from an arctic cold, wet and white Lancashire, but we now have sun !! What on earth is going on with our weather ?!!

At long last - a non working holiday, never thought id see the day lol Norway ? Really ? Brrrr that would certainly finish me off, or at least leave me fingerless !! Have the most wonderful time making memories wherever in the world you visit, its been a long time coming Sue, and of course, have some wonderful quality time with mom and family xxx

I remember this beauty so well, so delicate, my favourite colour's, and the sentiment HAS to be returned to you.
After showing Izzy's amazing bags yesterday, I visited one of your regular Wilsonettes blogs, and there are some absolutly amazing Izzy bags, they are fabulous, so your tutorial must have worked Izzy lol, im useless at written instructions, but I may have to print them off and see what sort of mess I can make of them lol.
I have to add one more thing about this ere 'non working' holiday - Sue, it can ONLY be that if you leave your paper and pencil by your bedside and NOT in your hand luggage lol I feel you may have to be medicated to stop the withdrawl symptoms : )

Sending love n hugs to all that visit today.
Please take care and enjoy your day whatever your plans may be.

Hi Sue, beautiful card, so pleased that I have all the dies needed to replicate this crafty creation. Hope you have a great holiday and get to completely recharge your batteries. Lol lynne m x x x

Fur babies dislike the pink bean bag with a vengence now. When they jump up on the settee the
beanbag gets tossed onto the floor every time. They don't even try to lay on it anymore much to my dismay as it did provide much laughter. However, they have now decided that the arms of the settees are perfect for stretching out on ( must have cat dna somewhere in their makeup) they do like to lay with their legs hanging down each side of the arm. Hubby did say that its not a very ladylike position to lay in- my response was that our 2 are definitely NOT ladies. He is sure that its just a little lapse and that his princesses are most certainly ladies. Talk about looking through rose coloured glasses!!!

Lol and oodles of hugs to all lynne m & dreadfully devious doggie divas x x x x

Hi Patricia (Summerhouse),

Fabulous job with those Carina bags!...and thank you for showing me I was wrong not to buy that die - I thought that is was just too delicate even with a backing to be used on a bag flap but yours look wonderfully classy...and was really surprised at how many toiletries you got in the bag - did you enlarge the bottom measurement?...and have you thought of adding an Anonymous button to your list of identities, would have loved to leave a comment on your blog...

and for the visual learners, if you found my lenghy instructions just too much faff then if you click on the templates pic it will enlarge it and you can then print it off and follow that instead - the bag pieces are just basic rectangles so very easy to make - otherwise I couldn't have done them myself!...lol...and we all need to make our dies work as hard as possible...

Izzy

Hi Pat

If reaching your toes is the problem you can get toenail scissors with angled blades and very long handles from sellers who deal with mobility and care equipment. 'Long handle toenail cutters' in a search engine will bring them up for you. Not sure how much they are as I got mine a long time ago and whether the cost is worth it if the issue is temporary but they are very good if reaching is the thing stopping you cutting them yourself.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery and hugs, T xxx

I can't begin to imagine how much work it took to set up the blog to still pop up cards while you're away, you deserve a holiday just for that! Anyway, from Mr W, Billy and myself have a wonderful, restful time. I look forward to seeing pictures when you return.

Anyhoo, on to the card. So so pretty. Can have a crack at this as the dies I don't have I have some from the same range. Hoping to order the gaps I have in New York and Noble in the next couple of months which should take me up to your next C & C show!

Lynne, took Billy a couple of weeks to trust his new bed when we got it last year. His is memory foam and he wasn't sure of the feeling of it sinking into place I think. It was funny seeing him lay on the floor using it as a giant pillow in the first week though! Pretty sure he'd destroy a bean bag in seconds as it makes a rustling noise, imagine the scene, beanbag innards flying through the air like a vicious snowstorm around 30kg of lurcher doing a Taz impression! Your divas do make me giggle!

Lilian, I know the teal GC is stronger and the plates a tad closer together so you don't need shims. I'd check reviews online for all the A4 Machines and see what suits your usage and your budget. I brought a hardly used GC second hand earlier this year as I used my supermarket loyalty points on a certain auction site and still have my tough little A5 machine for thicker materials and my old cartridge dies. I hope you find a machine that suits you asap!

Lots of hugs and crafty happiness to Sue and Wilsonettes everywhere. Extra hugs to those who are ill, in treatment or recovery or in any sort of pain.
